Sponsoring an orphan in H2H Ophanage is a wonderful way to help change the life of a child in need and bring hope to his or her entire community. By becoming a sponsor you will provide the desperately needed opportunities to children with incredible potential. In addition, you will be making a personal investment, building a relationship with your orphan beneficiary and his or her family of “life-givers” in H2H Orphanage who share same commitment to change the orphans life, one child at a time.
The impact even small donations can make to an orphan child in H2H Orphanage family is enormous. The average cost to send one Kenyan child to school (fees, uniforms, books, school supplies and other school utilities,) for ages 5 to 12 is only $100 in a term, and around $200 in a school term for ages 13 to 18.
For many families in Kenya, where the average household income is less than $1.50 a day, these expenses can be overwhelming, leading to kids starting school later in their lives and/or dropping out of school permanently.
A rough support of $350/ for a child per year (less than $1/day) you can provide for the clothing, food and education for one child who otherwise go without.
The money is budgeted as follows:
$200 pays for child’s meals and food a month
$50 goes toward paying teachers’ salaries and school administrative fees monthly.
$25 utilities – clean water
$25 medical fund
$40 school uniform, school supplies etc.
$10 miscellaneous
